How to Book for 12th night

  • by

Due to the necessarily granular breakdown of tickets in order to offer all types of attendance options, the booking process for 12th night may appear somewhat complicated at first glance.  So this is a guide to help you choose the right ticket when booking.

Tickets are grouped as follows:

  • House Member Tickets
  • House Non-Member Tickets
  • Centre Member Tickets
  • Centre Non-Member Tickets
  • Daytrip/Offsite Member Tickets
  • Daytrip/Offsite Non-Member Tickets

Each section contains tickets for Adults, children aged 6 to 12 and children aged 5 and under.  Children aged 13+ are considered adults for the purposes of accommodation and food.  Children aged 5 and under are free to attend unless they are occupying a bunk, in which case the ticket is priced at cost price to the SCA for use of the bunk.

The Daytrip section is further broken down into All food / No Feast (lunch only) to facilitate daytripping families who may have small children that will need to go home early, or anyone who is unable to stay for Feast.

Prices for Non-members reflect the extra cost involved in arranging insurance coverage for the event.  This coverage comes automatically with membership.  We would encourage people to consider purchasing a membership which pays for itself in the discounts you will receive when booking events as a member, over the year of the membership.

What is the difference between House and Centre?

The rooms in the House are all wooden bunks and small dorms of not more than 4 beds.  Each room is ensuite with toilet and shower.  There are 36 bunks in this building. Prices for the House reflect both the breakdown of cost of hiring the building divided by number of bunks, and the more comfortable nature of the rooms.

The rooms in the Centre are larger dorms of 10 to 14 bunks per dorm. Bathrooms with toilets and showers are located on the ground floor underneath the dormitories.  There is a very small number of 4-bunk rooms with toilet/shower adjacent which will be allocated to families with children.  There are 64 bunks in this building. Prices for the Centre again reflect both the breakdown of cost of hiring the building divided by number of bunks, and the less private nature of most of the rooms.

The Booking Process

When booking for the event, the booking service we use, Fienta, will show you the list of all the tickets collected under the groups listed above.  Find the group heading you need (e.g. House Member Tickets, or Daytrip Non-member tickets) and look at the tickets listed below that Heading.

Either way, if you have any questions, feel free to contact the Event Team.
We look forward to welcoming you at Coronation!
